Before we fast forward to one of the greatest exhibitions around for eventprofs today (IMEX 2024 in Las Vegas, happening this week), let’s stroll back to the first official World’s Fair, known as the Great Exhibition, which was held in 1851 at the Crystal Palace in London.

This monumental event showcased innovations from around the world and attracted over six million visitors during its run. The Great Exhibition set a precedent for future international exhibitions, celebrating technology of it’s time, culture, and industry on a grand scale and it highlighted the potential of international cooperation and exchange, a tradition that continues in modern events and exhibitions.

The best part about this event is that today, we continue to celebrate these coming together of people, ideas, and innovations through events like IMEX, which opens it’s doors in Las Vegas this week.

At CrowdComms, we are passionate about the power of events and how they bring people together to connect, learn, and share experiences and we are looking forward to meeting old and new connections at IMEX, as we continue to support the exciting and ever-evolving events industry.
