Hybrid events will become the new normal for many event planners as the world begins to slowly come out of lock down. This means that event venues will need to adapt too. Here are some quick tips on how to select the perfect venue for your hybrid event- one that caters for both in-person and virtual attendance.
1) Faultless Wi-Fi
If a large proportion of your audience cannot see your session livestreams, your hybrid event is pointless! Do not cut corners when it comes to your Wi-Fi, it is worth investing more into making sure it’s perfect.
2) Space for Equipment
A hybrid event means you will need a venue that can accommodate both the in-person and virtual aspects of your event. Your sessions must be set up in a way that makes sense for ‘real life’ attendees as well as remote ones. This means that you will need to find a venue with plenty of space for lighting and cameras.
3) Rehearsals
Make sure that you choose a venue where you will be able to rehearse from beforehand. Plenty of testing and revisions to the running order are vital for a successful hybrid event. You need to make sure that your speakers are fully prepared and know what to expect before their sessions.
4) Talk to your Tech Provider
The CrowdComms team would be happy to advise on the necessary requirements for the perfect hybrid event venue. We have gained a lot of experience with running virtual events in the past few months. This, combined with our wealth of experience in running event tech onsite at live events, makes us the perfect choice.
