“The CrowdComms app simplified the experience for our attendees and us.”
Memcom is a community that connects senior leaders from membership organisations, trade associations and the wider not-for-profit sector to collaborate, innovate and impact societal change. The community continues to grow yearly, supporting the industry in a multitude of ways. From the sector’s leading annual conference to membership excellence awards, bespoke CEO and Senior Leader networks, to workstreams that offer a space to focus on a key topic facing the sector: Memcom provides high-level networking and a community focused on helping their members achieve their goals.
Memcom held their annual conference this year in Bishopsgate, London, and welcomed 350 attendees back in person to experience everything they had to offer for the first time since the pandemic. With the overarching theme of ‘Back on Track?’ speakers addressed the key issues of the day through talks, debates, panel discussions and roundtable sessions.
Given the scale and prestige of the event, the organisers at Memcom needed the reassurance of a reliable Event App and a tech partner who could deliver the functionality they needed and exceed attendee expectations.
A Focus on a User-Friendly App
Pre-pandemic, event apps were often seen as a nice-to-have, and generally considered to be useful but not critical to the execution of the event. However, the explosion of virtual events throughout the pandemic and the emergence of hybrid event formats in 2022, a secure, reliable event app platform has become crucial in helping event planners achieve their accessibility, sustainability and content-on-demand objectives.
The organisers at Memcom utilised the CrowdComms Event App’s flexibility to its fullest and customised features to ensure attendees were not overwhelmed by too many functional elements, so that on the day, they could focus on what was important: getting together with peers, sharing challenges and finding solutions.
The centralised agenda was a key reference point for Memcom attendees. It gave all involved a place to refer to and revisit throughout the event. Content, information and modules were all linked to the main programme, allowing delegates to learn as much or as little about a session as required.
“It was intuitive to navigate the app and find what you were looking for.”
Your Event’s Success is our Priority
Attention to customer service is always a big focus for us, and it’s terrific to hear how much our support is appreciated. The organisers at Memcom valued our team’s quick responsiveness in the run-up to their event and our ability to accommodate changes right up until the last minute.
The CrowdComms onsite support teams regularly receive comments on their positive outlook, professionalism, tech know-how and general good-egg attitude! This was definitely the case at the Memcom annual conference, where the organisers enjoyed the reassurance that having us onsite brings; we all know how the unforeseen can crop up on event day and having a reliable team on standby can bring significant stress relief.
“You felt like one of our team!”
