We are delighted to announce our support of the Sustainable Events Summit. The summit has been created by a partnership between Sustainable Events Ltd and Positive Impact and Smyle. Its mission is to support and inspire the events industry to continually become more sustainable. The Summit is happening this autumn in the UK and is the pinnacle of the community’s engagement.
Sustainable Events Summit
Now in its fourth year, the Summit is firmly established in the annual event calendar as a place where corporate brands, agencies, venues and suppliers can meet to discuss this important topic.
This year, the research (conducted by not-for-profit sustainability expert, Positive Impact) will provide the starting point for discussion at the Summit.
Using a mix of in-depth interviews and short Q&A sessions, the research is targeting over 100 global brands across all the main industry sectors. Its aim is to gain a greater insight into event professionals’ understanding of sustainability.
It will touch upon the perceived barriers event professionals face when implementing sustainable practices and look at the relationship between sustainability requirements and creativity, supply chain engagement and event message delivery.
We are delighted to be providing the event app for the summit. Delegates can work out where they want to be and who they want to meet – using the convenience of their smart phones.
Not a single page will need to be printed.
This is one way an event app can help make an event more sustainable and at CrowdComms we’re passionate about sustainability.
While we’re on the topic, another easy way an event app can help make an event more sustainable is by housing all the exhibitors’ brochures in a searchable digital format. This eliminates printing and reduces hundreds of transport miles.
Event apps are of course just one piece of the sustainability puzzle. We’re looking forward to learning a lot more about other ways our clients can make their events more sustainable.
We are thrilled to join so many like minded organisations for what’s shaping up to be a very exciting 2016 event.
